'Cooling
off period' ends walkout by TAs
The University of California and the United
Auto Workers have agreed to a 45-day cooling-off
period in the current labor dispute involving
teaching assistants, readers, and tutors.
During this period, the parties have agreed
to meet to discuss the concerns of both sides
in an attempt to resolve the issues that led
to the strike. (Photos
