Poetry and painting subject of humanities lecture

A talk on "Poetry and Painting" will be presented on Thursday, May 8, by John Dizikes, professor of American studies, and Doug McClellan, professor emeritus of art. The talk is a part of the Humanities Lecture Series, sponsored jointly by UCSC's Humanities Division and the Museum of Art and History.

UCSC's annual literary journal features the work of Santa Cruz women

The 33rd issue of Quarry West, UCSC's literary magazine, features the poetry, prose, and prints of 72 Santa Cruz women writers and printmakers. The issue honors "In Celebration of the Muse"--an annual Santa Cruz literary event that, for the past 15 years, has been held in March to commemorate International Women's Day.
