Poetry and painting subject of humanities lecture
A talk on "Poetry and Painting" will be presented by John Dizikes, professor of American studies, and Doug McClellan, professor emeritus of art. Their talk takes place on Thursday, May 8, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Museum of Art and History at the McPherson Center, 705 Front St. The talk is a part of the Humanities Lecture Series, sponsored jointly by UCSC's Humanities Division and the Museum of Art and History. The talk is free and open to the public. A reception follows.
The focus of the talk will be The White Gallery--a book of poetry on painters written by McClellan. The evening will include poetry, slides depicting the work of the painters featured in the book, and commentary by Dizikes.
