Toward that end, Mangel has prepared "a new kind of tool kit" for ecologists to use. UCSC to contribute to national supercomputing partnership The National Science Foundation is negotiating an agreement with UC San Diego to revolutionize high-performance computing resources for the nation's scientists and engineers. UCSC is one of 37 institutions that will contribute to the program. Astronomer to speak on successes of Hubble Space Telescope In an upcoming public lecture, UCSC astronomer Sandra Faber will treat a Santa Cruz audience to some of the stunning images glimpsed by the Hubble Space Telescope since its repair.
