Christina Valentino

After a nationwide search, Christina Valentino has been chosen for the position of assistant vice chancellor for Business and Administrative Services. Valentino has served as the director of development for the Social Sciences Division for the last ten years. Prior to that, she worked briefly as a special assistant to the vice chancellor for administration and special assistant to the mayor of Santa Cruz, coordinating earthquake recovery initiatives and activities.

Before coming to UCSC, Valentino worked as a management and development consultant and was a manager for the Department of Housing and Community Development for Inglewood, California. She also worked as an analyst for the California Departments of Finance and Social Services.

Burney Le Boeuf

Professor Emeritus Burney Le Boeuf has agreed to serve as the interim vice chancellor for research (VCR) until the position is filled permanently as the result of an ongoing national search. Le Boeuf will be responsible for providing coordinated and executive leadership for research administration and planning.

G. William Domhoff

G. William Domhoff, professor emeritus of psychology and sociology, has accepted a visiting appointment in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Colgate University for fall 2001. As A. Lindsay O'Connor Professor of American Institutions, Domhoff will teach two courses and provide one public lecture.
