NSF awards UCSC $460,000 for scientific visualization lab

UCSC scientists soon will create powerful and informative graphical images from their data at a new interdisciplinary laboratory, thanks to a $460,000 equipment grant from the National Science Foundation and support from the Natural Sciences Division. (Full-sized photo)

'Ask the Chancellor' forum covers range of staff issues
Chancellor Greenwood
had a simple message for staff members during a June 24 lunchtime
forum: Staff play a vital and valuable role in
the operation of UCSC.
Host Home Program helps students with housing
The Housing Office is reviving the Host Home Program, matching
faculty and staff with students who need temporary housing this
fall.
Dickens Universe returns this summer
The Dickens Project presents its 17th annual summer
conference, the Dickens Universe, from August 3 to 9. A scholarly
conference is also planned.
