Upcoming presentation to focus on disability and rehabilitation issues

Chancellor Greenwood invites faculty and staff to a presentation and discussion with Katherine Seelman, director of the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR), U.S. Department of Education. The presentation will take place Thursday, May 22, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Student Health Center Conference Room.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn about NIDRR funding priorities and other disability-related topics, said Margaret Keith, director of UCSC's Disability Resource Center.

This event is sponsored by the Chancellor's Office, and refreshments will be provided. At the request of participants with chemical sensitivities, those who attend are asked to refrain from wearing scented products.

For disability accommodation and other information, contact the Disability Resource Center at (408) 459-2089 voice, 459-4806 TTY, or via e-mail at disable@cats.ucsc.edu.

Parking is limited. Metro Transit bus #1 will stop at the Health Center; call 425-8600 for information. For UCSC shuttle information, call 459-2190.
