UC Santa Cruz opens its doors for Santa Cruz Circle Trail Day

UC Santa Cruz will offer tours of the Arboretum, Agroecology Farm, Chadwick Garden, and Long Marine Laboratory on Saturday, May 31, for Circle Trail Day.

Circle Trail Day celebrates Santa Cruz's natural environment and its Circle Trail, a 27-mile course that winds through Lighthouse Field State Beach, Natural Bridges State Beach, Pogonip, DeLaveaga Park, Arana Gulch, and other Santa Cruz natural landmarks. UCSC's facilities make up several stops on the trail, which was dedicated in June 1995.

A variety of outdoor activities are planned for May 31, including a 10k run, a kids' fun run, cycle tours, and a number of nature walks. For more information and a schedule of events, call (408) 426-8810 or access the event organizer's Web page.
