Electrical engineering major receives official campus approval A proposed bachelor of science major in electrical engineering has received official approval from two Academic Senate committees. Siegfried Puknat, a campus founder, dies at 83 Siegfried Puknat, a professor of German and comparative literature who helped shape the campus in the 1960s, died on March 17. In a letter to the campus community, Chancellor Greenwood lauds Puknat as "one of the legends of UC Santa Cruz." (Larger photo)
