Appointments
Sue Matthews has been selected as the college administrative officer
of Crown College. She comes to UCSC from California State University, Dominguez Hills,
where she served first as assistant director and then as associate director of University
Housing Services. She has also served as a resident director at UC Santa Barbara
and San Diego State University. In all, Matthews brings over 12 years of experience
working in student affairs to her new position.
Matthews is currently working on her doctoral dissertation at the Center for Educational Studies at Claremont Graduate School. She holds an M.A. in social science with an emphasis in college student affairs from Azusa Pacific University. Last spring she was elected president of the Western Association of College and University Housing Officers for the 1999-2000 year.
