UC Santa Cruz to host "Preview Day" for prospective
students
Preview Day at the University of California, Santa Cruz-held each
fall for prospective students, their parents, and counselors-will
take place on Saturday, October 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In the morning session, faculty and current UCSC students will
be featured in panel discussions on academic programs and residential
student life. Separate sessions will be offered for high school
and for transfer participants.
During the lunch hour, representatives from the academic departments
will be available to provide information and answer questions.
Lunch will be available for purchase, and music and entertainment
will be provided.
The afternoon's activities will include student-led campus tours,
open-house receptions at the eight residential colleges, and special
presentations on financial aid, Student Affirmative Action/Educational
Opportunity Programs, the transfer program, and the arts.
Registration will take place from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. at the Upper
Quarry Amphitheater in the center of campus. During registration,
representatives from the eight colleges, student affairs departments,
and the recreational office will be on hand to answer questions.
