Senior Sam Radetsky was named a Division III first-team All-American by the American Water Polo Coaches Association. Radetsky led the Slugs water polo team to a 21-10 record and a ranking of 19th in the NCAA. He scored 101 goals for the Slugs this year while playing at the 2-meter position.

UCSC finished third in the Western Water Polo Association, losing in the finals to UC San Diego, which finished in the Final Four.

Two other seniors, Rodney Serge and Erik Granath, were named to the second team.
