Bruce Levine
Associate Professor of History
Bruce Levine taught history for the past 11 years at the University of Cincinnati. Previously, he was director of research and writing for the American Social History Project at the City University of New York. His areas of interest are the Civil War era and labor history. He is the author of three major works, including Half Slave and Half Free, The Spirit of 1848, and Who Built America (coauthor). Levine earned his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Rochester and his B.A. from the University of Michigan.
