UC systemwide Management and Leadership Conference in October

Chancellor Greenwood is a keynote speaker; reservation deadline nears

"Mission Possible: Managing our Mandate, Shaping our Future" is the theme of the UC systemwide Management and Leadership Conference (UCML) on Oct. 26-28 at the Hyatt Newporter, Newport Beach.

UC executives, President Atkinson, Chancellors Wilkening and Greenwood, and Regent Connerly will be keynote speakers. The preconference session features Tom Champoux of The Effectiveness Institute, a nationally recognized dynamic speaker on the development of quality relationships in the workplace.

Designed for managers at all levels, the conference themes are civility, health science administration, organizational behavior, information technology, diversity, and stewardship. Topics include future health care trends for academic medical centers, managing your manager, ethics and privacy issues in an electronic age, conflict resolution, and the civility dilemma.
