A memorial service is planned for art professor Eduardo Carrillo, who died July 14. The service will take place on Sunday, September 28, at 11 a.m. in the Baskin Visual Arts Courtyard. The Art Department and the Carrillo family invite friends, students, and colleagues of Carrillo's to join them in remembering his life and in celebrating his educational and artistic legacy. A painting and drawing scholarship has been established in memory of Eduardo Carrillo. Gifts can be made to the UC Santa Cruz Foundation. Checks should indicate that they are a memorial gift for Eduardo Carrillo and can be sent to the Arts Development Office, Division of the Arts, UCSC, 1156 High St., Santa Cruz, CA 95064.
