Featured speakers at the rally were Wilson Cruz (left), a dancer and actor most known for his role as Ricky, a gay high-school student on My So-Called Life, and UCSC alumna and lecturer Susie Bright, a.k.a. the nationally known writer "Susie Sexpert."

Cruz treated the gathering to an a cappella rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," while Bright offered frank opinions of that evening's episode of Ellen and discussed her new book, Susie Bright's Sexual State of the Union.
