UCSC to host conference on "Science, Science Studies, and Their Critics"
Leading researchers from the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities will convene next month for a conference on one of the hottest topics in higher education today: Is science just another cultural and political construct?
UCSC ranked 56th among the nation's most wired colleges
A survey published in the May issue of Yahoo! Internet Life lists UCSC as one of the most "wired" colleges nationwide.

A campuswide celebration of Lou Harrison's 80th birthday features an inaugural lecture by musicologist and flutist Leta Miller, a concert, and an art exhibit. Miller's April 22 talk is titled "Sounding Off: Lou Harrison's Musical
Politics."
