UCSC commuters: Caltrans web page and hotline provide information on status of local highway construction projects

Caltrans has created a Web page and established a telephone hotline that provide motorists with information about several construction projects on highways in the region. Of particular interest to motorists from UCSC are projects already begun on or planned for Highways 17, 1, and 9, says Caltrans spokeswoman Val Houdyshell.
