Cliff Harris (left) and his assistant, UCSC senior Jason Camara (right) called upon two first graders for a "chemical races" demonstration to show how chemical reactions can proceed at different rates. The students were Gonzalo Magana (left) and Jonathan Santillan from Willow Oaks School in Menlo Park.
