Halloween photo contest winners announced
Elvira, a group of biker chicks, and an evil queen were among the 80 costumed staff members who paraded into the Photo Services studio to have their pictures taken for the 1996 Almost Annual Halloween Photo Contest. After much deliberation, Photo Services chose this year's winners, each of whom will receive a gift certificate to the Bay Tree Bookstore and film and photo processing. In the individuals category, the winners are: Lynda Tanaka as Kali in the 21st century (first prize); Chris Kamalani as Frankenstein (second prize); and Serena Dionysus as a skeleton (third prize). The prize for best group went to cosmic clowns Karen Fry and Sherry De Stefano.
The Photo Services staff also commended Mary Lou Evaro, who dressed as a pumpkin from Dolly Parton's pumpkin patch; Willow Munger, a navigational satellite; Bob Dunn, the benefit beggar; and mime Laurie Hartman.
Photos of the contestants will be on display in the hall outside
Photo Services for the rest of the month.
