POETRY READING PLANNED AT UC SANTA CRUZ ON NOVEMBER 14

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SANTA CRUZ, CA--Poet Michael Palmer will read from his work on Thursday, November 14, at 4 p.m., at the University of California, Santa Cruz, in Kresge College Seminar Room 159. The event is free and open to the public.

Palmer is the author of Blake's Newton (1972), The Circular Gates (1974), Without Music (1977), Notes for Echo Lake (1981), First Figure (1984), Sun (1988), and most recently At Passages (1995). He has also published translations from the French, Russian, and Italian, the most recent of them Theory of Tables by the French poet Emmanuel Hocquard. Since 1974 he has collaborated on over a dozen works with the Margaret Jenkins Dance Company. He currently lives in San Francisco.
