The campus has just been notified that due to a slide in Aromas, two PG&E high-pressure gas lines which serve this area were damaged, and will not be able to provide gas to the campus for 24-48 hours.
For the time being, the campus is left with the gas that remains in the lines. We are complying with PG&E's request for voluntary curtailment of gas usage on campus until the lines are repaired. This means that we have shut off the heat to almost all campus buildings, and the campus community may notice a distinct temperature difference in their residences, offices and classrooms in the morning.
