Appointments

Nancy Inkyung Kim has been chosen as the director of the Asian American/Pacific Islander Resource Center. Kim graduated from UCSC in American studies, and, as a Merrill College student, she coordinated UCSC's first Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month and taught a student-directed seminar titled "Building Coalitions between African American and Korean American Communities."

After graduation, Kim served as the acting director of the Asian American Resource Center at Pomona College. Currently, she is teaching Asian American studies in Los Angeles and finishing her master's degree in Asian American studies at UCLA.

Kim is currently working part-time as AA/PIRC director and will be at the center full-time beginning in July.
