Showing off the 'classroom of the future'
Chancellor Greenwood helped demonstrate UCSC's new
videoconferencing facilities at an "open house" and press conference
on Monday, May 11. Approximately 50 people, including news crews from
the Monterey and San Francisco Bay Areas, attended
the demonstration and a reception that followed. The new classroom
provides live interactive instruction to students at remote locations,
brings guest lecturers to the UCSC classroom from
distant sites, and supports other types of interactive learning and
collaboration. (More photos).
