Conference examines film interpretations of the Holocaust
[Identification card issued by Nazis] After Adolf Hitler's rise to power in 1933, the Nazis issued an identification card to every Jewish person under their dominion. The "J" on the cover indicated that the card's bearer was Jewish. The card shown here is part of the Neufeld Family Archive, which was established through the Neufeld-Levin Chair in Holocaust Studies. The chair is supporting an upcoming conference on the Holocaust as it is portrayed in film.
