Legislators to participate in forum at UC Santa Cruz

Two politicians will describe their views of the current legislative session and discuss issues of campus concern at an open forum on campus later this week.

State Senator Bruce McPherson (R-15th District) and Assemblymember Fred Keeley (D-27th District) will participate in the forum during a visit to the campus on Friday, February 20.

Open to members of the campus community, the forum is scheduled to take place from 11 a.m. to noon in the Red Room at College Eight. Questions from the audience will be an important part of the discussion, said Carol Lacey of the Chancellor's Office, who is coordinating the event.

The forum is sponsored by the Student Union Assembly, the Graduate Student Association, the Academic Senate, and the Staff Advisory Board.
