Office of the President releases 'UC White Paper'

A complete version (with all charts) of the UC White Paper, The University of California Approaching the 21st Century, has been posted on President Richard C. Atkinson's Web homepage. The document was produced by UC for the California Commission on Higher Education.

According to the document's introductory statement, the paper "presents an analysis of issues in higher education in California and suggests some approaches to those issues that conform to the university's basic missions of teaching, research, and service." The paper is designed to serve as a guide to university decision makers.
