Staff invited to annual barbecue

The Staff Advisory Board and the Office of the Chancellor have invited all staff employees to a "Welcome to the 1997-98 Academic Year Barbecue." The event will be held on Tuesday, October 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the East Field.

The barbecue will feature a variety of picnic foods, including burgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, salads, lemonade, and dessert. Staff who bring their UCSC staff cards may borrow towels and swim in the East Field pool, which will be open for recreational swimming at no cost.

Staff will be provided release time to participate in the event. Those interested in attending must RSVP to Jeff Rockwell by Friday, October 10, by sending e-mail to jrock@cats.ucsc.edu or a note to University House.
