Banana Slug Spring Fair draws thousands The annual Banana Slug Spring Fair attracted an estimated 4,000 visitors to UCSC on Saturday, April 19, for reunions, tours, and lectures, including one delivered by professor emerita of art Mary Holmes (above). The attendance was by far the largest in the history of the open house. During the festivities, the Class of '77 presented UCSC with a $35,000 "class" gift. (More photos)
Distinguished astronomer to deliver annual Faculty Research Lecture

Conference, ceremony, performance on the Holocaust Two UCSC professors named as coholders of the Neufeld-Levin Holocaust Endowed Chair will be invested in a ceremony scheduled for May 4.
