California Senator Bruce McPherson presented his perspective on the current legislative session, discussed campus issues, and took questions from the audience last week at a public meeting at College Eight. McPherson (R-Santa Cruz) was recently appointed vice chair of the senate's Committee on Education, which hears all bills relating to K-12 education, higher education, and educational personnel.
