UCSC graduate receives prestigious award
Scott Seiwert, a former UCSC biology student, received the prestigious 1996 Pharmacia Biotech & Science Prize for Young Scientists. The $20,000 international prize for molecular biology was awarded for an essay Seiwert wrote explaining the significance of his doctoral work at Yale University.

 

 
UC begins discussions on long-term fee policy
UC President Atkinson says the time is right to adopt a long-term student fee policy that would allow students and parents to better plan for the cost of a UC education.
