Construction work begins on Improvements to the Arts project
A letter to the campus community describes the project and provides a timetable for the construction. Artist's renderings of the project are available (click on the photo, above), as is a description of the transportation changes planned to accommodate the campus community during construction. An accompanying article describes other construction projects planned for the 1996-97 academic year.
Inaugural "fiscal close" with SCT Banner termed a success
A number of UCSC staff contributed to the successful 1995-96 fiscal year "close," the first with the new SCT Banner Financial Information System.

Magrath, president, National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant
