Jul 24, 2015 The updated policy aligns the Coastal Science Campus with the restriction on domestic animals at the main campus. The policy exempts service animals, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Warhol Foundation grant goes to Institute of the Arts and Sciences project

Jul 23, 2015 The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts has awarded a $30,000 grant to support an innovative artist residency and exhibition developed by the Institute of the Arts and Sciences (IAS) at UC Santa Cruz and the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) in San Jose--in collaboration with the UC Lick Observatory.

Humanities Dean Tyler Stovall named president-elect of American Historical Association

Jul 23, 2015 Humanities Dean Tyler Stovall has been chosen as president-elect of the American Historical Association, the largest professional organization in the U.S. devoted to the study and promotion of history.

Aug. 15 — PG&E testing natural gas pipeline

Jul 22, 2015 PG&E, which provides natural gas to UC Santa Cruz, will be testing its main pipeline through Santa Cruz County beginning Aug. 15. In order to do this testing, PG&E will be reducing the gas supply to its customers served by this pipeline.

Gift to UC Santa Cruz funds new chair in water resources and food sustainability
