Proposition earmarks funds for all branches of public education

A$3 billion school construction bond, on the ballot in California in March, includes $1.13 million for UCSC. The campus allocation would fund equipment for a 400-seat classroom and for facilities in the campus's Arts Division, including the Music Center.

Proposition 203, if approved by voters on March 26, would provide funds to upgrade and construct classrooms, libraries, and other needed facilities in all levels of California's public education system, including K-12 schools.

Up to $100 million of the funds could be spent on seismic- improvement projects for existing facilities.
