Re: High Street paving

The City of Santa Cruz Public Works Department has announced plans to pave High Street during the week of October 16. The latest phase in the city project is expected to result in access restrictions, traffic delays, and closures on and around High Street.

As tentatively planned, High Street will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday as crews pave the section from Highland to Laurent. High is expected to be open while the remainder of the street is paved on Friday and the following Monday and Tuesday; but significant delays are expected.

Motorists traveling to and from the campus, therefore, are advised to take alternative routes throughout the paving phase of the city project.

A construction web page, maintained by UCSC Public Affairs, will provide updated information on this and other construction projects that may affect the university community.
