Re: Major event this weekend

Please accept my invitation to a major event that will take place this weekend at UC Santa Cruz.

On Saturday, October 7, Nobel Prize laureate Amartya Sen will deliver the sixth annual Sidhartha Maitra Memorial Lecture at the Music Center Recital Hall. The lecture will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by a presentation of the film, "The Home and The World" -- a masterwork of renowned Indian director Satyajit Ray, whose archive is housed at UCSC's Satyajit Ray Film and Study Collection. The film will screen at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.
