Re: Information on important UCSC policies

I would like to bring your attention to two very important UCSC policies and direct you to the location of where you can find these policies and information regarding them on the UCSC website. Please take a moment to inform yourself of these policies.

The UCSC Policy on Sexual Assault, the UC Policy on Sexual Harassment, and Procedures for Reports of Sexual Assault(s) and Sexual Harassment are located at http://www2.ucsc.edu/title9-sh/. An online training program on sexual harassment and sexual assault is also available at this site for any person who would like to take it.

Brochures in English and in Spanish about the UCSC Policy on Sexual Assault and the UC Policy on Sexual Harassment are available by contacting our Title IX/Sexual Harassment Office at (831) 459-2462 or e-mail Rita Walker at rew@ucsc.edu.

The UC Santa Cruz Whistleblower Policy and Procedures, in both English and Spanish, are available at http://whistleblower.ucsc.edu. This policy is the campus's companion policy to the University of California Policy on Reporting and Investigating Allegations of Suspected Improper Governmental Activities (Whistleblower Policy), also found at this site. The policy for protecting employees from retaliation for making a whistleblower report for UCSC is the University of California Policy for Protection of Whistleblowers from Retaliation and Guidelines for Reviewing Retaliation Complaints (Whistleblower Protection Policy) found at the above URL, along with a report form and a hotline number for making reports.
