Re: Campus Message: Tickets Sent for Investiture

Tickets and detailed instructions regarding parking and other logistics are being mailed today to everyone who reserved space by 8 a.m. on October 26, for attending next week's Celebration 2005 events: the keynote address of the Symposium, "Achieving Excellence through Diversity," on Nov. 3; Chancellor Denice D. Denton's Investiture on Nov. 4; and the Scholarships Benefit Dinner on Nov. 5.

For the Investiture, seating is no longer available in the Recital Hall. Everyone without a ticket to that venue is invited to view the proceedings via simulcast in the Media Theater, where seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The program also will be broadcast on the campus's internal cable system (Channel 29).

A few seats remain for the Symposium Keynote Address. Register online (http://celebration2005.ucsc.edu/registration.asp) or e-mail Kristin Palma (kpalma@ucsc.edu) to reserve your space.

Everyone is invited to join the Friday morning discussion sessions of the Symposium, and tickets are not required. For a detailed schedule of the sessions, please see (http://celebration2005.ucsc.edu/symposium_program.asp).

The Scholarships Benefit Dinner is sold out.

Many students, staff, and faculty from throughout the campus are playing key roles in the development and implementation of the events of Celebration 2005. We look forward to welcoming you to these events.

Thank you for your support.
