Re: Annual Overtime Election for Non-Exempt Employees

In compliance with University policy and collective bargaining agreements, non-exempt employees (i.e., employees who record time worked and are eligible to receive overtime compensation) may file a written preference for either compensatory time off (CTO) or pay for overtime worked. Even if your department does not offer overtime or CTO, you should file an election form so the University has a record of your preference.

Please complete an overtime compensation election form and submit it to your Staff Human Resources Service Team no later than July 3, 2006. Forms and additional information are available at:
http://shr.ucsc.edu/topics/pay&time/ot-election.htm

If you have any questions, or if you need a hard copy of the CTO form, please contact your Staff Human Resources Service Team listed at:
http://shr.ucsc.edu/hrst/hrst_locate-team.htm

Sincerely,

Celena Allison
Sr. Manager, HR Service Teams, Compensation and Policy
