Re: Campus Dispatch fire monitoring system under repair

Early this morning, the head end (or hard drive) on the campus's fire alarm monitoring system failed. Physical Plant staff are working with the manufacturer on making repairs, which will be completed as soon as possible. The campus Fire Department is aware of this situation.

This means that Campus Dispatch is not currently able to remotely monitor fire alarms at most campus locations.

Even though the monitoring system has malfunctioned, fire alarms on campus will still emit sound if activated, warning people that they should clear affected buildings. But if a fire alarm goes off, people in the area also need to make sure that they call 911 to alert the campus Fire Department.

If you have any questions, please call the work order desk at 459-4444.
