Re: Sexual Harassment training for University Officials

All university officials are required to learn about their responsibilities promulgated by the "UCSC Sex Offense Policy and Procedures for Reports of Sexual Assault(s) and Sexual Harassment." University officials may complete this requirement by using the Internet (browser-based) training program (http://www2.ucsc.edu/title9-sh/testing/).

University officials are defined (see page 30 of the "Policy" at above web site) as any academic or nonacademic employee who supervises employees or students (even one); all staff at the colleges, FSH, UCSC Inn, Village, and UTC; and any person in a human resources-related position. To assist university officials in fulfilling their responsibilities, information can be found on pages 17 & 18 in the "Sex Offense Policy" as well found on the above web site.

"In person" training by Title IX/Sexual Harassment Officer Rita E. Walker is available for groups of 10 or more Officials. Please contact Rita at (831) 459-2462 or rew@ucsc.edu to schedule the training or for any questions.
