Re: Appointment of Interim Dean of Humanities
Dear Colleagues:
It is our pleasure to announce the appointment of Professor Gary Lease as Interim Dean for the Humanities Division. An alumnus of the University of Munich, Professor Lease joined the UC Santa Cruz faculty in 1973. He has held numerous administrative positions and previously served as dean of the Humanities Division from 1990 to 1995. Since 1998, he has been chair of the History of Consciousness Department. His appointment as interim dean became effective on September 1, 2004.
