Browne, Executive Director of Admissions and University Registrar Re: Visitors to UC Santa Cruz This SpringAs you know, spring is a crucial time of year for university-bound high school seniors and college transfer students, since now is when they must decide where to enroll for fall. Because of this, our campus is experiencing an increase in visitors, as we do every year. If admitted or prospective students call you looking for a campus tour, please direct them to http://admissions.ucsc.edu/see/campusTour, where they can make a reservation online. Last year, demand for tours at our campus was greater than ever. Last spring, over 10,000 students and family members toured the campus. This year's Experience UC Santa Cruz campus tour event, March 28 through April 1, promises to be just as busy, and it will be extended by increased tour offerings through April 6 to accommodate high school spring breaks. Our visitors will be curious about university life and may ask you many questions. Please be patient. Your helpfulness will be a measure of our university community's outreach to these students and their families. In addition, if you see individuals or groups of people on campus who look like they are lost, please help them find their way if you can.
