Re: University Librarian recruitment
Dear Colleagues:
I have authorized a national search for a permanent successor to Alan Dyson as University Librarian. Robert White has agreed to serve as Interim University Librarian while this search is being conducted.
The members of the search committee are Professor Michael Cowan, Chair; Professor Ben Crow; Assistant Professor Jennifer Gonzalez; Library Assistant Kathleen Hardin; Vice Provost Larry Merkley; Assistant Professor Bruce Schumm; Librarian Catherine Soehner; and Associate Librarian Deborah Turner.
Screening will begin with applications received by September 26, 2003, and continue until the position is filled, with the hope that the new University Librarian will assume office by spring quarter 2004. Please bring this position to the notice of any of your colleagues nationwide who may know people who may be interested and qualified for this position.
