November 20, 2002 To: Campus Community From: M.R.C. Greenwood, Chancellor Re: Invitation from ChancellorI am writing to add my personal invitation to the notices about Thursday's presentation by Dr. David Hamburg. Even as students and others are expressing their alarm at the prospect of war, our campus is hosting one of the country's most compelling voices on ways to prevent deadly conflict. I encourage you to attend this event for that reason, and also because the panel presentation by two distinguished members of our faculty and a very thoughtful student promises to stimulate and enlighten. Details are copied below. I look forward to welcoming you to this important event.
Thursday, November 21, 2002, 4 p.m. Colleges 9 & 10 Dining Hall Dr. David Hamburg, President Emeritus of Carnegie Corporation of New York Immediately followed by a Panel Discussion with Dr. Hamburg, Professors Paul Lubeck and Nirvikar Singh and student MaryJane Skjellerup
