Re: Mission Street Paving Work

UCSC TAPS has been informed by CalTrans of their Mission Street paving plans for the first half of January. Beginning tomorrow (Thursday, January 3rd) crews will be grinding down the temporary pavement between Rigg and Younglove streets starting at 8 a.m. and continuing until approximately 4 p.m., rain or shine.

Weather permitting, paving of this section of Mission Street is expected to commence on Monday, January 7th and continue through the week. At present, crews plan to begin paving the northbound outside lane from Rigg Street toward Younglove, followed by the northbound inside lane. Traffic delays should be expected from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. throughout next week.

For the latest information on this work, call the Mission Street Widening Hotline at 831 420-6242 or point your web browser to http://www.missionwidening.com/Trafficupdate.htm.
