Re: Christina Valentino chosen AVC for Business and Administrative Services
I am very pleased to announce that Christina Valentino has accepted the position
of Assistant Vice Chancellor Business and Administrative Services. She will assume
her new duties in early January. Christina was selected from a field of excellent
candidates identified in a nationwide search.
Many of you already know Christina in her role as the Director of Development for
the Social Sciences Division, a position that she has held for the last ten years.
Prior to that, Christina worked briefly as a Special Assistant to the UCSC Vice Chancellor
for Administration and Special Assistant to the Mayor of Santa Cruz, coordinating
earthquake recovery initiatives and activities. Before coming to UCSC, Christina
worked as a management and development consultant, and was a Manager for the Department
of Housing and Community Development for Inglewood California. She also worked as
an analyst for the California Departments of Finance and SocialServices.
Christina brings with her a wealth of knowledge about UCSC and the Santa Cruz community.
Her professional background, excellent communications skills and collaborative style
make her an excellent choice for the AVC BAS position. Please join me in welcoming
Christina to her new role in BAS. |
