September 29, 2000 To: The Campus Community From: Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS) Re: New Park-and-Ride Lot UCSC Transportation & Parking Services (TAPS) and the Santa Cruz Seaside Company are providing a free park-and-ride lot near the Boardwalk. The parking lot is located at the corner of Beach and Cliff Streets (across from the Surf Bowl), and accessed via the entry kiosks located on Beach Street (across from Neptune's Kingdom). The park and ride lot is available free of charge to faculty, staff, and students. TAPS is also providing a free shuttle between the park and ride lot and UCSC in the mornings and afternoons during commute hours. The parking lot is available weekdays, from 7:00 am to 10:30 pm during Fall Quarter, September 18th through December 22nd. Parking permits are required to use the lot and are available free of charge through the TAPS Sales Office.
