Re: New director of International Education
Dear Campus Community:
Welcome back to a new academic year and what promises to be an important step in
UCSC's commitment to international education. I am
pleased to announce the appointment of Associate Professor Margo Hendricks as Director
of the Office of International Education (formerly International Programs). Associate
Professor Hendricks has been with the campus since 1990 and is a member of the Literature
Department faculty. She currently serves as chair of the systemwide Committee on
Education Abroad Programs and has been involved with the campus office of Education
Abroad Programs since her arrival at UCSC.
The Office of International Education administers the International Scholars and
Student Services (ISS), the Education Abroad Program
(EAP), and the campus undergraduate Fulbright Program. In her capacity as Director,
Professor Hendricks will work with relevant
campus units as we strive to make international education an integral part of the
UCSC academic mission.
Sincerely,
Lynda J. Goff
