Re: Last week of the Second Harvest Food Drive

THIS IS THE LAST WEEK OF THE UCSC SECOND HARVEST FOOD DRIVE. You've all received your Second Harvest grocery bag to fill with groceries and a UCSC food drive envelope in which to enclose a check.

If you've not yet written a check or filled a bag, now's the time to do it.

WRITING A CHECK IS EASIER, MORE CONVENIENT AND YOUR DOLLARS HAVE ADDITIONAL PURCHASING POWER.

NOTE:

1. For every dollar donated, Second Harvest can distribute more than $10 worth of food.

2. For every $1 donated, the Food Bank credits UCSC with 3 lbs. worth of food. For example: $5=15 lbs. towards our goal.

3. It's easy: Use the self-addressed envelope or any envelope addressed to:

UCSC FOOD DRIVE, 1156 High Street, Santa Cruz, CA 95064. Make your check out to Second Harvest Food Bank with a note on the check stating "UCSC FOOD DRIVE."

SPECIAL BULLETIN: DONUTS AND DONATIONS

ON WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 6, (7:15-9:15 a.m.),when you stop by the food drop off at the base of campus, we'll give you donuts when you write a check or drop off your filled grocery bag. For your convenience, we'll have extra self-addressed envelopes available if you'd like to write a check for the food drive.

Do a good deed and enjoy a donut! See you Wednesday!

Please call us if you have any questions.

Co-Chairs:

Sheila K. Gottehrer, (9-4606)
Manuel Grijalva (9-4852)
